In 1979, Mother Teresa was given a Nobel Peace Prize for all the work she had done in Calcutta to help the people in her missionaries. Through her missionaries, Mother Teresa was always putting others before herself.
'Like Jesus we belong to the world living not for ourselves but for others. The joy of the Lord is our strength'. (Mother Teresa), This is a quote from Mother Teresa. This quote demonstrates that Mother Teresa did put others first and her endless courage to help other people was admired by all. There were 4500 sisters, 610 missions in 123 countries. She pursued social justice because she wanted to ease the suffering of the people in society and provided them with the basic help that was needed. Her main priority was the well being of the people in the missionaries and to make them better while putting herself second despite her health declining. Through her work in the missionaries, Mother Teresa was admired by everyone worldwide and also by the nuns in the missionary. Her main goal was to help the people in the missionary to get better and this is what made her happy.
